If its after 1946 clearly anachronistic for Campion set in the 1930s. |

Is it MHY 555, which seems to have had a few unfortunate things happen to it since this was filmed?? 2022 auction listing |

Good find dsl, I could get the ?HY555 part of the registration but there the trail ended. Unfortunate yes, hence the Campion episode has it in original limousine condition before it was converted into a Sedanca de Ville Landaulette (between 1990 and 1992). |

The original Barker & Co. limousine coachwork was hardly 'exciting', but to me this car was ruined. That said, and somewhat bizarrely, the fact that someone took a tin opener to it seems to have increased its market value, judging by how much it achieved at auction in 2022. It is actually a "Twenty-Seven" (DE27). |

I am sure the registration mark "MHY555" was sold in 2023, the car being re-registered as "SXS712", before subsequently being exported to the USA. The car is chassis #51329. I see the thread title has been altered to mention Barker as the coachbuilder, but still doesn't include the model? -- Last edit: 2024-07-21 13:36:14 |

^ happy to take suggestions on model name, preferably compatible with other DE27s on the site. We tried to standardise things before, as discussed on MHY 555's other page, but better ideas always welcome. |
