1965 Ford Ranch Wagon |

The chrome window frames tells me this is a Country Sedan, not a Ranch Wagon, which would have had painted window frames. There appears to be a '65 Galaxie 500 in front of it. |

Why is it called "Country Sedan" when it is a station wagon? |

They call 4-door cars "coupé" so why not call a wagon "sedan"? |

Ok guys, here it is. My first car was a 1965 Country Sedan. It is called a Country Sedan because, yes...it has 4-doors but, can you haul any significant quantity of straw, bales of hay, and all other things that a person might need, when living on a country farm in a sedan? Would a trip to the feed and grain to pick up a few supplies, be worth the time for the amount that would fit into a sedan's trunk? Hey, lets be clever...a station wagon from the "country" farm is called for here. What if you live on a ranch, what would the wagon be called then? Common, let's think on this. Carguy60 is da man...Ford guys and the USA, hey...hand in hand!! |

Hey, I have a question. Just by looking at the rear of the wagon, what option does this car have? |

This wagon has the power rear glass option. Opens with the turn of the door key. |

Or with a switch on the dash with the ignition in "ACC" (Accessory) or "ON" (Normal position when engine is running.) |
