This is indeed a Matford and apparently a rare one because it seems to be a " Break de chasse" as would appear from the flat roofline on this picture.Sedans had a much rounder roofline.It has the post 1937 split windshield and the 1938 hood louvres. So to me it appears to be a Matford Break de Chasse V8-F 81 A 21 cv of 1938. |

I agree with your interpretation of the picture about the roof which is very flat indeed .gif ";)") Unfortunately I've not any documents about Matford and cannot confirm if necessary?
