I don't think so. Looks like some Indian derivative. |

I'd also agree with a Patrol, at least built under license by some Indian manufacturer... |

The film was shot partly (or mostly?) in Indonesia. -- Last edit: 2024-05-01 23:23:23 |

Seems to be the Australian-spec GQ II version. Note the light on the front wing. Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Patrol#Fourth_generation_(Y60;_1988) |

I'm with 02GRN, also agree with the Patrol by pchetv, because nobody notices these details... As Gag Halfrunt mentioned in this movie's main page; this movie is filmed in India and Indonesia, with the latter I followed it up by providing additional details, and this scene matches to what I've said in there... This is actually indeed a scene filmed in Batam, Indonesia, it is rather a fake Indian police car. A Nissan Patrol Y60-series shall suffice here because what nobody knows about; the Y60s in Indonesia were actually imported here from Japan, originally for the 1992 KTT Non-Blok. However, Nissan, whose provided those vehicles, don't sell them officially here at that time, the only way to get them is after that event, where the government were instead sold these as second-hand private cars to the public, suggesting these were rather JDM imports, instead of being official from Nissan. I don't think this is AUS-spec, searching on Google, I'm only found what looks to be JDM models in the used car classified here, some of which were listed as 1994, while some were listed older before 1992 KTT Non-Blok like 1990 or 1991. I rather say the light on the front wing is an aftermarket hackjob. Better to NOT list the "Made for" tag without further thumbnails and/or any reliable sources available. Going back to the Indonesian filming; another evidence of why this is Indonesia, take a look on the cars in the background, there's a Toyota Yaris with a fake Indian plate prop, while a Toyota Avanza/Daihatsu Xenia can be seen partially in front of it. Another example where additional thumbnails is rather needed instead of guessing. |
