More likely an older Rabbit Convertible than Cabriolet. It doesn't appear to have the full wheel arch cover over the rear wheel. I have to check on the color, but I think it started in 1982-1983 range. |

Color choices look like either: 1980-1981 Indiana Red Metallic: https://www.cabby-info.com/museum/paintcolors/indianaredmetallic_LA3V.htm 1982 Surinam Red Metallic: https://www.cabby-info.com/museum/paintcolors/surinamredmetallic_LA3Y.htm 1985-1987 Titan Red Metallic: https://www.cabby-info.com/museum/paintcolors/titianredmetallic_LB3V.htm I would rule out Titan for the reason above, plus the top color is too dark. And between the Indiana Red and Surinam Red, I think it looks more like Surinam, a little less red and more brown. |
