 I'd be surprised if all of these Montecarlos are real (how about those at the far back?...) But what's really surprising is that they thought people wouldn't notice these are not 037s ?! In any case this whole thing never happened in reality, however a couple of years later...

Lancia's rally dept. really are thought to have fooled FISA officials on the 200 roadcar requirement for Group B rallycar homologation but not with the 037 but successor Delta S4 in 1985 (the general consensus is that only around 70-80 were built so well sort even of the fictional 103 037's in the script!).

 Well ok I should have said that the creators should realize that a great number of people who were following the WRC in that period or are familiar with 80s Lancias are going to watch this movie (I'm sure more of a percentage of people who watched a "big" movie like Ford v Ferrari and were familiar with Le Mans, Fords or Ferraris) and they would definitely notice...
