That MK2 Escort looks like the same one featured during the opening scene, used by the criminals trying to evade Jackie Chan by driving through a hillside shanty town. MK2 Escorts were built in 1975 - 1981. This one looks like a Sport, going by the black quarter bumpers, over-riders and black trim along with it's steel 'dartboard' wheels. |

Surely the MK II Escort should be identified from the UK rather than Germany. Admittedly the MK II was made in conjunction with Ford Germany and also manufactured in Saarlouis, Germany, but the Escort has always been classed as a British car with the original MK I being soley developed in Britain. Should be marked as a 2 star car, used in two sequences where Jackie Chan is in persuit. |
