A very strange photo, but I believe the angle makes it somewhat distorted. Because of the split bumper I'd say it's a Simca 5 rather than a Fiat Topolino. Simca 5: Link to "www.google.com" |

Yes that would be another option. Does the film say anything where this photo was taken (France or Germany?), or is it possible to determine if any of the models are more likely than the other? |

No particulars are offered for the photo in the main pic, the third one shown, but of the first photo shown in the same photo album the location is said to be Ukraine. This is that photo (the car is obviously not the same):![]() |

the radiator grille is more suggestive of a Fiat (SIMCAs had the crank hole) I think that's a NSU-FIAT-Neckar 1100 used by german army on this picture. Here's the undistorted photo:![]() Found on this blog. The blogger speaks of a "Simca 5", but he's referring to the model he used, not the car in the picture. The car in the picture is, however, identified as a Fiat 500 NSU, with the 3rd Panzer Grenadier emblem, on this page. |
