![]() ![]() ![]() The worst-looking Technicolor scene I've ever seen. It's not apparent in these screenshots, but it looked like the car had a Rolls-Royce mascot. |

It certainly looks like a Springfield Royce, but the coachwork supplier is a bit of a mystery. |

Is it supposed to be a night scene? If so, it was filmed "day for night" by underexposing the film and putting a filter over the lens. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_for_night |

It certainly doesn't look like night, way too much sun for that. But, the car does have its headlights on when it arrives, and the scene appears to be occurring at the same time as the main man (not the one in the thumbs) is giving a piano recital, so it's certainly taking place in the early evening at the earliest. Either way, the scene looks terrible and makes the car look like a black hole:![]() ![]() Full disclosure: I brightened the images a little, but that only seems to have brought out the grain on film. ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-09-16 20:58:49 |

Why not just film at night? |

A lot of times where TV film maker films scenery in daytime, then they processed with dark filter to make it looks like it night time. |
