This scene was an reenactment of the murders of mechanics, Leslie "Les" Knowles and Tim Richards who were both shot by Gerald Preston in the main garage of Les' Auto Repair Shop at Lonsdale, South Australia on the morning of the 15th August 1996.

Preston was an associate of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club Melbourne Chapter, prior to the murders, he broke into the home of a gun collector at South Gippsland, Victoria and stole the murder weapon, a rare German Lugar 9mm pistol.

It was believed that Preston was hired by members of the Hells Angels Melbourne Chapter to murder Les Knowles.

Preston was later convicted of the double murder and received life imprisonment with a non-parole period of 32 years while his accomplice and the getaway driver, Kevin Gillard was also convicted and received life imprisonment.

Preston's ex-wife, Vicki Jacobs had later testified that Preston was hired by the Hells Angels to commit the murders at Les' Auto Repair Shop as the Hells Angels had a dispute with Les Knowles over drugs.

Jacobs was later shot and killed as she slept with her six-year-old son, Ben in the lounge room of her home at Bendigo, Victoria in the early hours of the 12th June 1999.

It is suspected that a member of the Hells Angels Melbourne Chapter, Terrence Tognolini was behind Vicki Jacobs' murder and is suspected that the gunman was a member of the Hells Angels Darwin Chapter hired by Tognolini.

Tognolini was a senior member of the Hells Angel National Enforcement Branch, the Nomads and had been regarded as Australia's most dangerous and organized criminal figures as Tognolini had been named in three murders, several arson attacks, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

Tognolini was also an associate of Gerald Preston and was suspected of ordering the murders of Les Knowles and Tim Richards.

Tognolini was later bashed and kicked out of the Hells Angels in January 2007 and was later arrested on the 15th June 2007 after stepping off a plane arriving from London.

Tognolini was charged with 11 counts of blackmail, 5 counts of arson and one count of assault, indecent assault and threaten to commit arson, he was then later charged and convicted of sexual assault and drug possession and was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment, he was later sentenced to a further 18-month imprisonment on the remaining charges in 2009.
