Well the front's all right but I don't know what the people at Cadillac were thinking when they designed that rear end. Perhaps they thought it was a way of making the car smaller, with the energy crisis and all.

I believe it was supposed to make it look more 'European' ... I think the designer was frightened by a Daimler limo as a child :)

Yet the front of the car is about as American as you can get! This car would be so much better looking if it had a more normal boot (trunk). But then it would probably look just like any other Cadillac of that period.

Anyway, can someone tell me the exact year (or year-range) of this model?

Um, I think you've got it wrong, this version of the Seville was 1980-85. But I asked which year it was because I think they made a few exterior changes during that time.

That is with the Eleganté package along with the "Seville" script moved to front part of the front fender in 1981 model year.
