Either that or Hillman Hunter? |

Looks like the Chrysler version of renamed Hillman Hunter, by the rear panel/lights bright-work. Model Year 1976. Not certain if this continued on the other versions Humber and Singer but they seem to have been replaced also? http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/proto-arrow.htm 1976 Chrysler Hunter I think. -- Last edit: 2008-06-22 15:01:33 |

Cars with that tail light treatment were badged as both Hillman 1974 to 1977 and Chrysler 1977 to 1979. We cannot tell from the photograph which this is. There is a photograph on page 175 of "Cars of the Rootes Group" by Graham Robson (Motor Racing Publications Croydon 1990) clearly showing one of these badged as a Hillman. |

1974 Hillman Hunter then I guess, being the earlier? |

GL trim |

This is Apr 76-Sept 77 Hillman Hunter Super with the thicker chrome strip added when the GL was stopped in Apr 76. The only reason for saying this is not a GL is that GL had wheel trims - see photos scattered through http://www.flickriver.com/photos/leicester-vehicle-photography/tags/gl/ - a glorious selection of mouldy porridge which Sandie, Lateef and Ingo might enjoy. It is not a Chrysler Hunter which had door mirrors instead of wing and front wing indicators - that came in Super (with vinyl roof and Rostyles) and deluxe only. -- Last edit: 2011-10-18 20:41:55 |

i did think super at first but changed my mind when i looked through my Chrysler '75 brochure which shows the super without the chrome strip and with painted door frames. But if its the 76+model then i agree its not GL. |
