A view of the front might help. These coach built dhcs were built on all sorts of chassis in the inter war years.

I try to provide as many images as I can, especially when the car isn't fully shown. Sadly, this is all there is, except for a microscopic view of the car's rear:

I'd say an Opel super six - 1937

I'd say in the UK - Frazer-Nash (BMW)

It could be the same as this one from 'Portrait of Alison', as both movies are one year apart and it was a fairly uncommon model.

Although by 1936 it could be 319 as well..

Also another one (or perhaps even the same one again) called 319 in 'Make Me an Offer!' - another movie shot in the UK in 1955.

315 works for me - "Frazer-Nash (AFN Ltd) held the UK importation rights, and sold the model as the Frazer-Nash BMW Type 34, offering a saloon, an open two-seater Sports and a drophead Cabriolet. Frazer-Nash imported around 600 Cabriolets and Saloons, converting them to RHD."

Well spotted, the problem is now to know exactly what they were called here.

Frazer-Nash BMW springs to mind.

Rear end is off on that one, for starters.

This one, rather. I think the one in 'Make me an Offer' is listed correctly, while the other '315' should be corrected - as it's very likely these three are the same. The coachwork is definitely that of Reutter.

Thank you for leaping in while I was working on it. You’ve saved me some trouble.

The front ends definitely influence their progress in BMW. Such a nice gem. Never even heard of these.
