Judging by the shape and the size of the front badge ( placed between the bonnet and the grille ) I would say it's a Portuguese Portaro. Actually, one of this movie's filming locations is Portugal.
So, it's a 1975+ Portaro 240 Diesel ( caixa aberta ) powered by a Daihatsu 2530cc Diesel engine.

I think it was practically what happened when Hungary and Romania were authorized by M.A.N AG to produce and export their models under the name RABA and ROMAN, respectively. Portugal was authorized to sell these ARO jeeps under the name PortARO (Portuguese ARO) :)
