Limousine as model name? Or is the model name to be found?

Note the straight waistline in the above reference.

The car we are looking at in the new unidentified photograph looks more like a Lancaster than a limousine, even allowing for the rather poor image.

I agree with John (sorry Chris ;) ) but this one doesn't match with 49 A-S Limousine

Based upon the thumbnail views showing the radiator to be plated at the top (probably), and the shape of the swage lines that drop down onto the rear mudguard, I would suggest that this car is a Daimler DB18 Consort 1950 to 1953, but the pictures are so shaky that I only offer 75%.

john from Staffs, I believe you are right, it is a 1950 Daimler DB18 Consort.

I've been trying to match the details with a Armstrong-Siddeley Lancaster but the Daimler is right for all details that can be seen.

Sorry to lead you up the Lancaster blind alley, but tht was based on the six-light bodywork, then the idea about the radiator came up, and I checked against the Consort.

I remember Sister Mary Etheldreda telling us in 1953 that Pope Pius XII was infallible, perhaps this modern generation of Popes have lost it a bit.
