2008-06-02 13:10 | 1961 Buick. Hardtop sedans came as LeSabre [4439], Invicta [4639] and Electra [4739]. |
2008-06-02 14:18 | I know the B-pillar on the camera's side looks tiny, but the C-pillar is telling of a post sedan. Since Invicta wasn't offered as a pillared sedan in this year, it would be a LeSabre [4469]. http://connorsmotorcar.com/61Lesabre/DSCF2807.JPG |
2008-06-03 04:52 | it looks tiny because there is none! It's a 4 door hardtop and it's an Electra (model 4739). |
2008-06-03 04:57 | Here are pictures of a similar 1961 Electra 4 door hardtop...![]() ![]() The Electra 225 was available only as a convertible and 6 window hardtop that year (Electra 225 Riviera model 4829) but the base Electra was available as a hardtop coupe, a 6 window pillared sedan and a 4 window hardtop with a large backglass. The LeSabre/Invicta had a different roofline and the hardtop sedan had a smaller backglass and larger "C" pillars. |
2008-06-03 06:07 | It looks like a low-optioned example. I did think I saw a clock in the main image, directly to the right of the driver's wing window. Thank you a lot! That is a gorgeous car whose image you've provided. |
