The views available are of very little help, beyond the shape of the radiator. It’s a 1933 or 1934 Standard. As the back of the headlamps is not chrome plated I’m going to say Little Nine. |

Agreed Little Nine would be a good call in this case. Link to "www.simoncars.co.uk" Looking at 1933 versus 1934 models they look to have front-hinged driver's door initially changing in 1934 to suicide doors as in the movie. -- Last edit: 2023-02-21 18:55:10 |

Just one thought, did it start life as an estate car? Maybe not. |

My woodies picture book has postwar Standard 8 woodies by Jennings of Sandbach and the Birmingham Mulliners, but both have different cabin shapes, so dead ends. |

I did assume that it was adapted to estate car use, following the shortage of new cars or vans, after 1945. But that's only a guess, with I think a new 1933 estate car version being a lot less likely? |

No mention of a woodie in S & G, so adapted shed seems a good option. -- Last edit: 2023-02-22 08:30:10 |
