There never was such thing as an "Electra" station wagon, that model designation being reserved for the sedans, hardtops and convertibles. What we have here is a Buick "Estate Wagon" (yes, that is what Buick called their poshest - well- estates). The year is '74. 75 Buicks had rectangular headlights. -- Last edit: 2006-01-08 01:09:12 |

This is a 1974 Estate Wagon, the 1970-1974 Estate Wagons had some outside trim shared with the Electra (badges, grilles and the 4 portholes) but the interior trim was shared with the LeSabre. The 75 Estate Wagon didn't have rectangular headlights, only Skyhawks, Electras and Rivieras had them that year. The 1975 Estate wagon had a LeSabre grille and only 3 portholes moved on it's front fenders. The 1974 Estate Wagons had an Electra grille and 4 portholes on their hood. The "Electra Estate Wagon" mode did exist in the eighties but not in the 1970-76 period. The "LeSabre Estate Wagon" also existed in 1959-64 and in the eighties but not in 1970-76. -- Last edit: 2006-02-27 06:12:30 |
