Front indicator/parking light assembly, wheels, the wide trunk handle (1996-1998) and the tail lights as you mentioned. All of the emblems seems to be in the wrong places. The TURBODIESEL-badge should be under the 740-badge. Both the VOLVO and the 740 GL- badges seems to be centered between the outer edge and the license plate recess, I'd think that they should be offsetted more towards the outer edges. I would also guess that it indeed has a diesel engine by the shape of the exhaust pipe. The wide tail gate handle is a common mod to older 745/945 as it is more desirable. Maybe the car was modified and had a respray and that's why the emblems is in the wrong location? Next question is the VIN. It shows a sedan with a four cylinder gasoline engine. I have seen people change roofs on 745 and even a few limousines converted into wagons but it seems a bit far fetch to do it to regular sedan. VIN: YV1 = Volvo Cars Sweden 744 = 740 sedan 83 = B230FD from 1993-1995??? Might be something wrong with the decoder but engines starting with 8 should be B230 anyhow 3 = M47 5-speed manual gearbox H = 1987 2 = Belgium, Ghent plant 178444 = Sequential number Short answer; I don't know.
