2008-05-09 00:34 | Courrier is the name of the van version of current Fords , isn'it? |
2008-05-09 00:35 | Yes, but I think without the "Fiesta", only Courier... |
2008-05-09 00:35 | With only one "r" - I thought... I've discovered that they were badged and sold in France as Courrier. -- Last edit: 2008-05-09 00:43:35 |
2008-05-09 00:42 | You're right, thank's guys ![]() |
2008-05-09 00:49 | Made for France i'd say, special name for it... although it is just an "r" added, but this will also prevent to anyone pretending to change it thinking it is written wrong, no? |
2008-05-09 08:30 | Where did you find that info with 2 R ? If it is on non official sites it may be a common typo just be because the word "courrier" in French has 2 R. The badge on the car seems to have only 1 R, e.g.: ![]() (french plate, found on ebay) or vehicle_28512-Ford-Courier-1992.html where I think that the badge was more visible, though that even on that pic the word seems too short for 2 R. -- Last edit: 2008-05-09 08:30:39 |
2008-05-09 09:31 | Here's one with two R visible. Strange, seems to be the same generation as the red one from eBay. |
2008-05-09 09:57 | Perhaps that red one, as it has the side windows, is the one fitted with the rear seats. So the one with rear seats is called Courier, and the one with the metal side is Courrier. If you do a search on Google Images on Courrier, it comes up with pics of the van with metal sides. Theres no info on Wikipedia either. |
2008-05-09 18:17 | Also on ebay.fr is possible to see a French phone card that uses what seems to be an official Ford pic of one of these also named as Courrier. |
2008-05-09 19:58 | But if both names existed, wouldn't be easier to just name them Courier? As we cannot be sure which one of the two it is anyway... |
