Looks like a low end Impala for sure since Caprice had upscale look

I'm going to have to say Biscayne. Look how bare-bones it is. It might be a Bel-Air too, but it's definately not an Impala or Caprice.

I agree, Impala did not have chrome script on lower front fender. I think it is a Biscayne.

Oddly enough, despite having lights but no markings, another one turns up later WITH markings.

Indeed, it is Biscayne due to the script at the front fender and thin trim at the rocker panel.

This is final model year for the Biscayne series in USA.

The last time I actually seen such 1972 Chevrolet Biscayne was in the late 1980's early 1990's when I was living up in Illinois. I can clearly remebered what road nearest intersection when I encountered the car :)
