2006-01-05 06:41 | 1969 or 1970 Fleetwood [wreath and crest ornament was used only on the Fleetwood series those years]. Too dark to determine if the front clip is 1969 or 1970. I'm guessing '69. Does anyone have a lighter image or a rear view? |

2006-01-05 16:36 | The contrasted image certainly looks more like a '70 model than a '69 (compare these images): www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_69/69FrtClp.jpg (1969) www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_70/70grille.jpg (1970) ...but a good rear view would end all argument: www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_69/69rrClp.jpg (1969) www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_70/70DET1.JPG (1970) |

2006-01-05 20:41 | Yes, I'm pretty sure now that it's a 1970 Cadillac. There were a number of "Fleetwood" models in the 1970 line-up, which included also the "Calais" series and the "De Ville" series. Included in the top-of-the-line "Fleetwood" series were (1) the "Eldorado" coupe, (2) the "Series 60 Special" sedan [this car], (3) the "Brougham" [similar to the "60S" but with a vinyl-covered roof and finer interior appointments], (4) the "Series 75" sedan and (5) the "Series 75" limousine [with a partition and division glass between the front and rear seating areas]. So it's not easy to classify Cadillacs just by "make" and "model". For some years, you need to specify the "Series" too. |
