Astrueblue - It's supposed to be the same as the first, although it clearly isn't (to us, anyway). Not sure why the producers working on this movie in 1985-1986 could not locate a suitable 1981 version (or any 1980-1986, for that matter). Sure, they could have bought another wagon, but it just doesn't make sense that the Freelings would buy the exact same make, model, and color and have it be 5 years older than the model they drove out of Cuesta Verde as they escaped The Incredible Collapsing House. (ha). |

Exactly! But I've always thought that the 80's Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser was the best looking out of all the GM B-body wagons. In the first movie it looks like the Freelings had a well optioned model with woodgrain sides, luggage rack, and sport mirrors.
