Voisin hood ornament... C1? |

indeed it looks like the C1 limo of 1920 but I'm not sure because of the doors of the wheels with spokes etc. Here is the Voisin badge : https://www.guide-automobiles-anciennes.com/VOITURE/avions-voisin-c1-limousine-4759.htm -- Last edit: 2022-06-26 16:14:21 |

The subject vehicle does not look like the limousine referenced in the linked picture because it has different coachwork. The subject vehicle is an open drive limousine while the link shows a completely closed car. Luxury car manufacturers like Avions Voisin did not necessarily fit standard bodies so two cars with identical chassis could look completely different, no inferences can logically be drawn from the appearance. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1354103 https://www.flickr.com/photos/93207294@N04/49711439993 I think it’s one (the only one?) of these https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/16133/lot/321/ -- Last edit: 2022-06-27 20:04:02 |

This Voisin is a C3-L Chauffeur-Limousine. Very similar to a C1, but you can spot the front brakes and the C1 had cantilever springs at the rear axle, that should be visible. The coachwork looks like this car by Binder / Paris, doesn´t it? Maybe it´s even the same car: |
