516 Phantom Vs were built between 1959 and 1968. However, I don’t think that this is a Phantom V at all. I think it is a Silver Cloud carrying the James Young “Baby Phantom” coachwork to design #SCT100. The Silver Cloud was built between 1955 and 1965. -- Last edit: 2022-05-27 11:46:51 |

Agree. Design #SCT100 unveiled at Oct 60 Earls Court Motor Show, built on LWB SC2 (33 made) and Bentley S2 (5 made). Carried through to LWB SC3 (39 made) and Bentley S3 (8 made). Most were consistent, but a handful had individual tweaks to headlights, rear quarterlight shapesand other bits. SC3/S3 had completely smooth front wings with sidelights on front edge (as normal SC3/S3 SSS) but SC2/S2 had sidelight pods moved forwards from top of wing (as normal SSS) to emerge from near top of the downwards curve. This looks SC2. |
