It's a 4-cylinder model and since it doesn't seem to have a chrome trim below the side windows it can be a 180 or a 180 D [W120]. By the front doors with quarterlights, I would say it's a circa 1958 car.
How direct, i wasnt saying i didnt like your comment... just asking why you think it is that (if it was 120 what was written then ive been wrong as i wanted to add 190d instead, dont get upset with me it wasnt my intention at all)
My reaction was due to the "smiley" you used to finish your comment... In this case - and the thumbnails show it has the chrome trim below the windows as well as the rear badge - it's a 190 D [W121] produced between August 1958 and July 1959 ( and I'm not upset ).
All these M-B known as "Ponton" models have 4-gear column gear change. As far as I know, only the 6-cylinder cars had the possibility of an optional automatic transmission.
