pretty sure we've had one of these custom cadillac pick-ups before on the site?

This is not a flower car, but a recreational vehicle, for sure! There were numerous body shops offering these El-Camino-like fashion pick ups on Coupe/ Sedan de Ville chassis, e. g. Traditional Coach Works, ACC (American Custom Coachworks), Wisco etc.

In this case Im pretty sure its the "Caribou" by "American Built Cars, Inc." of San Francisco, which featured a complete fiberglass shell from the windshield to the rear bumper.

So, Id list it as "197? Cadillac Coupe de Ville "Caribou" Pick Up by American Built Cars" (if theres enough space ;) )

I guess we can wait for precise model year when someone post a better picture. :)

Wouldn't "197? Cadillac 'Custom'" be more appropriate? Since we're never going to find out the coachbuilder, and it would enable all these one-off creations to be grouped together.

No, without the coupe Deville window. This is just a regular Cadillac flower car.

No not built on the commercial chassis and is clearly Coupe DeVille based.
