Grille from at least late 1944. The straight bottomed wire-mesh grille was introduced by March 1945 but Ford continued to advertise the truck with the earlier shaped grille until the middle of 1944. However the utility wartime mesh grille was probably introduced earlier in 1942 but because of restrictions not sold generally to non-essential users.
