Interesting little car, looks very similar to a 1950 Gutbrod Superior (the only year it had suicide doors), however some details such as the long bumper ends are off.
There also appear to be cooling vents at the back, and the fact that the car sags to the back suggests it's rear-engined (Gutbrod was front-engined).
Ah, wait a second, it's a Champion, also from Germany.

:wow:

I was half suspecting it was one of those obscure Japanese cars that came and went like the Flying Feather.

For anyone interested in these post-war German micro cars (and we had a lot of them, some are seen here): H. P. Rosellen's wonderful book Deutsche Kleinwagen nach 1945 geliebt, gelobt und unvergessen [ISBN-10: 3893500405, ISBN-13: 978-3893500406] brings you 364 pages and hours and hours of joy. Maybe even more if you actually understand German... I have no idea why it's out of print, but I totally recommend getting one of the many used copies out there. I received mine when I was 16 and I'm still loving it!

Thanks! I was already looking for this years ago, but I couldn't find it, then I didn't check again. I will order one immediately :)

I bought "Klein aber fein" several years ago, which had a sequel in DVD "Klein aber mein!"
