I want a 240Z so bad. I've seen a few Devil Z replicas on the net. |

@ Eagle Kammback.... I think this was an option on ALL of the early to late 70's Datsuns. I have seen both on all three models. Actually, now that I think about it, I have even seen a few 300's with them too. That type of mirror set up allows for highspeed lane changes without having to judge where the car is on your quarter panel behind you. You can see the whole side of you car, thus eliminating most if not all of your blind-spots. |

Oh, and as to the year.....Looking at the tails, the way that the rear end slopes smoothly down, the bulge and hight of the buldge in the hood, and the way the headlights look, I would have to say this looks like about a 74. As they got later on in the models, the cars began having more sharp edges, and the tail lights kinda started to blend together with the rear instead of standing out like these ones do. Ebay has a few up for auction right now if one felt inclined to do the same research I have done. |

based on the tail lights... the newest that the Wangan car could be is a 1973 (1970-73 had the back up light incorporated as part of the main rear light, while 1974 and beyond moved it to the rear panel). just for the record, the white fairlady - and a damned fair lady she is - isn't a ZG, just a Z. the ZG had an extended nose with an integral bumper (no grille above the bumper) and longer headlight sugar scoops with lexan covers. |

this one should probably be moved to the nissan fairlady z group. for japan, that's the way it would have been badged. |
