Mike Hammer's car that he uses to take (what looks like to me) the Queen's Midtown Tunnel from Manhattan to see Shirley Eaton's character at her Long Island estate. That must be some tunnel because when he is out on Long Island, the '62 Galaxie is now a '57 Ford Thunderbird! Second unit footage with Mickey Spillane was filmed on location in New York, but all studio and some of the "Long Island" exteriors were shot in the UK. This film was shown on cable quite a bit, but only watched in full just now. Quite good film noir, and very well done cinematography. Its too bad that a second film that was planned was never made. |
