Looks like an OPEL emblem on the trunk. I'll say it is a circa 1954 OPEL Kapitan. -- Last edit: 2008-02-13 04:09:26 |

Taillights are similar to 55 Packard Clipper. Was there any relationship between the respectve design staffs? |

Opel is part of GM. Maybe they were borrowing Cadillac tail lights. |

In the 50ies, sometimes later also, Opel has built "shrinked" US-GM-cars. Usually the parts weren't identical, but the design was close to the US-originals. Later on, the US-influence to Opel-cars was weaker. |

Right, I see the Cadillac similarity, but the way the taillights stick out towad the back end, not only pointing skyward...Some US Buick dealers offered Opel on their lots. |

And now there are 2 Opel designs as part of the GM's Saturn line up. What goes around, comes around. |

I don't know the Saturn line up, because this brand is unkown and not available in Europe, but I've recognized the similarity of my 1999 Opel Omega B to a Chevrolet Caprice. -- Last edit: 2008-02-14 22:52:24 |

Don't forget Cadillac's Catera which was just a rebadged Omega. |
