DAF555, could you tell if this is a 1974 or later version? I know that SAAB 95/96 ceased to export to USA after 1973. |

This one is an 1974 model. It has the new grille (1974+), but not the big plastic-bumpers (1975+) |

This is a 1975 SAAB 96 V4 Silver, a special edition to celebrate SAAB:s first 25 years as car manufacturers, counting from the first sales of the 1950 models. Now they count from the pressrelease in june 1947 instead. The plastic bumpers belong to the 1976 modelyear, but due to problems with adjusting the cars for emission control systems the first cars sold as 1975B models. This happened to most cars on our market with the 1976 models, part of them sold as 1975B instead without emission control. |
