It was once the personal aircraft of the Zaïre leader Joseph Mobuto Sese-seko flown by the Zaïre Air Force with registration 9T-SPF. In the 1980s it was obtained by the SAAF, but was never taken into service. In 1988 it was civilianized, but hardly flown in South Africa and became unairworthy. In 2005 restoration started and it flew again.
