I guess it is the same 1941 Cadillac. Series 61 [6109]? |

It is not a series 61 :1941 Cadillac Series 67 Touring Sedan on the 139 inch wheelbase chassis |

Without a decent side view or rear 3/4 view, it's hard to tell if the car has a "fast-back" rear (making it a Series 63) or a conventional trunk (making it a Series 67, as spotted by "pilou"). In terms of production numbers, there were more "63"s than "67"s. But let's give "pilou" the benefit of the doubt in this case. |

Pilou is correct. The elongated horizontal line of the rear door window design marks this as a longer wheelbase 67 Series. Also, the relatively short wheelbase 61 Series debuted in '41 as a replacement for the Lasalle and featured a fastback or "torpedo" roofline, while the 63, riding a little longer wheelbase- and available only as a six window sedan- featured a notched trunk. I've lived and breathed Cadillac cars since the dark ages and used to have a 1941 63 Series during the mid-1960's, when it was just a (really) used car. |
