Some elements make me wonder if there's a Jag E-Type underneath - or possibly given the prices of E-Types these days, one of those replica kits. |

Pretty certain it's a modified Fiberfab, Avenger (rear-engine, GT12 (VW) or Corvair (GT15)) or Valkyrie (mid-engine V-8): Link to "rarecomponentcars.blogspot.com" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiberfab_Valkyrie https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiberfab_Avenger_GT The lower front bumper openings are a perfect match, and the rounded cove beside the driver's window is distinctive. The side scoop has been deleted and the headlights adapted from quad to dual. The long rear overhang here is more consistent with Avenger. |

Guess I'm not the only one who caught this episode yesterday on the CW? The episode was the one calling it a Bizzarrini. Mac and Desi were sent to Italy to retrieve this "rare Italian sports car" to draw out the owner, but it's actually falling apart and run-down. But they magically restore the car to like-new in a matter of hours. The owner steals it to get away, but Mac devises a hook trick to stop the car without hurting it, similar to devices used on aircraft carriers. |
