antarmike ◊ 2010-01-01 11:06	not quite what it seems, yes this is a Mk2 Antar, but it was built as a ballast tractor, and has been modified into Artic tractor form. Originally it had a Rover Meteorite V8 Petrol engine, it now runs with a Rolls Royce Eagle diesel engine. In Ballast body form. It was therefor built as an FV 12003 Tractor , 50 Ton, GS, 6x4 , Thornycroft Antar. As seen it more closely resembles FV12002 Tractor, 60 Ton, GS, 6x4 for semi trailer, Thornycroft Antar. However it is not one of these since it lacks the hydraulic pump these vehicles had to work the semi trailer jack legs and ramps, nor does ot have the correct winch roller arrangement. -- Last edit: 2010-01-01 11:13:39
