1301? I knew the 1300, 1302 1303 but don't remember that 'beetle' 1301 had existed...but I might be wrong |

You are probably right, since when I search Volkswagen 1301 on Google I get only Simca 1301 |

No one likes to change it? Is there any other picture that shows that bit which is now covered by the leaves? On the 1302 model there are air vents behind the rear side windows. Until we know better I will name it 1300. |

It is indeed probally a 1300, must be my mistake. Probally the 1301 from "Im lauf der zeit" has to be adjusted too! |

In which country is the car? |

Movie is from Belgium & Netherlands, but some cars have a French plate too, so I guess that this scene is in one of these three countries. -- Last edit: 2005-12-19 09:38:53 |

This specific scene is in The Netherlands, the car is Dutch too. |

Then, do you call it a "beetle" in Netherlands? |
◊ 2005-12-19 20:09 |
Yes, we do. Although beetle it is not the official name. They are listed as 1300, 1302, etc on official papers. |

It´s 1303, the roof is "high" in the frontend to fit the larger windshield and there´s a space of about 10 cm between the windshield and the hood. The trim is slightly different to, on that prolonged part. |

what about the windscreen?...seems more like on a 1300 or 1302 than 1303, am I wrong? |
◊ 2005-12-19 21:20 |
The windscreen itself can´t be seen here, but the roofline is a little different in the frontend. And most of all the hood doesn´t reach almost all the way back to door as on the earlier body types. |

-- Last edit: 2006-06-09 12:33:57 |
