Chassis number O853 10409 is a post war Matador built for the RAF it originally carried RAF reg 73 AV 61. After military service it was converted to a Harvey Frost Breakdown by LW Vass Ltd Ampthill who sold it to work with Cory oil. Owned for a while by R. Reed at Uckfield before transferring to Showland use with Harris's It's present registration is an Age related plate plate issued by DVLA to vehicles that have never been registered or who have had their numbers "Cherished tranferred" to another vehicle. 1952 is date into service with RAF. -- Last edit: 2009-12-30 20:18:42 |

it is shown in the livery of doug harris. his family have owned it since it was decomisioned and it has had an easy life in the fair gorund circuit and is now preserved. it also featured in the tv series Wreck rescue when they were restoring an ex raf matador |
