Hudson 1949? |

This one has me stumped. The various trim items don't match any particular model. I'm pretty sure it's not a '48/'49 owing to the size of the rear window and the placement of the trunk trim details. 1952 + can also be eliminated owing to the heavy, vertical taillamps, which in turn would eliminate Supers and Pacemakers. The rear window is one piece, taking 1950 out. Best I can discern, it's a 1951 Commodore or Hornet but the side trim and rear trunk handle don't quite fit. Anyone else want to weigh in, or can we get closer/clearer photos? |

Unfortunately those are the only views I can get. |

Thanks. I'll just list as "1951 Hudson" for now. |

![]() Upon brightening the image, the trunk handle specifically looks like that of the 1950 Hudson Super: ![]() 1950 Commodore and all 1951 Hudsons except the Pacemaker had this full-width handle (51 Super depicted): ![]() Will leave as 1951 even though it could be any 1950/1951 Hudson with taillights, rear window glass or trunk handle replaced. |

Not exactly. And with a one piece rear window, coupled with Commodore style tail lamps, I would eliminate a '50 Super. Parts replacement is indeed a possibility of course. I seriously doubt the rear window design would be changed, however. |

And why is that? You think it wouldn't fit? It's just a window pane, and it's not like the rear window divider of the 1950 is permanently attached to the car. Just airing the possibility. Probably a 51 with the trunk lid/handle from a 1950 Super. |
