West Sussex, 1933. Therefore Light Six ASY/ASX Twin wipers, so possibly an ASX 14hp. -- Last edit: 2021-04-30 12:23:28 |

Is Dec 1933 too early for a 14/6 [DX]?? Have H&H got their wires crossed?? |

Is the plate kosher on this car? DY/DX models not introduced until 1935, acc to Wiki, and also S & G. -- Last edit: 2021-04-30 23:19:06 |

http://vauxpedianet.uk2sitebuilder.com/vauxhall-asy-asx---light-six Link to "www.pioneer-automobiles.co.uk" Scroll down, in the first link, there is a picture of an ASX Stratford Tourer. If anyone can see a solid front axle in the subject picture, that would rule out DX, which had Dubonnet “knee action” ifs. I think that this car has a solid axle, also, the radiator is further forward on the later cars. -- Last edit: 2021-04-30 23:42:37 |

Not just any old ASX Stratford Tourer, but PO 8625 in what might be a period photo - one of four different Sports 4 Seaters by Duple, Holbrook, Offord and - as captioned in this case - by Wittingham & Mitchel So H&H got it wrong - slightly surprising for a well-documented car with known pedigree. |
