It was built in ZA since somewhere in the early 1970's, will have to check when, as the Chevrolet LUV ("Light Utility Vehicle"), and later re-branded Isuzu KB (around 1976/7 IIRC). The easiest way of telling the year would be if one could see the taillights - the very early ones were separate round one, but soon changed to composite rectangular ones. Can't say whether it was built anywhere else, but "origin Japan, built in ZA" would be correct.
