This is not an A8. In fact, it's a 1972-1980 model, which means it could be either an A11 (taxicab) or A12 (Marathon), since the only way to tell for sure is to check the VIN or the builder's plate. Oh, and the police car appears to be a '54 Ford (Mainline, Customline or Crestline family). I just read a nice article in Hemmings Classic Car magazine featuring them.
