![]() ![]() Sent as "Sussita Carmel pick up van" by Amit: (sent long time ago, sorry for adding it only now) but I guess we would list it under "Autocars" make? |

the car was designed in the UK by Reliant for Autocars of Israel and was available as van/estate/pick up..although the vehicle was Autocars of Israels first mass produced home market built vehicle..early versions were actually made in the UK and supplied to Israel in knocked down kit form..but were not badged as Reliants, and were never available in the UK in this form..early versions had the 1200cc Mk1 Cortina engine...but when Autocars took on a Leyland/Triumph contract to build the Triumph Hearald in Israel, later models would be fitted with the Hearald engine..apparently Autocars of Israel ceased to be around 1965....so list it as Autocars....in the same way that one would list the Indian built Morris Oxford as "Hindoustan". -- Last edit: 2008-01-18 04:13:55 |

I propose to call it Autocars Sussita ( 1300 or 1500 ) Pick-Up as in the brochures / ads :![]() Source : http://www.reliant.website/bro_exportrd.shtml ![]() Source : https://classiccarcatalogue.com/SABRA_1970.html ![]() Source : Link to "www.ricardo.ch" I think with Carmel it is a bit confusing, as it is a separate model ( their model list ) ? Though online results do show a few cars titled as ¨Sussita Carmel Pickup¨, but they may not be correct or verified ? -- Last edit: 2021-12-21 20:05:23 |
