This is indeed a 1936 La Fayette model 3618 flatback sedan.Strictly speaking it should be filed under La Fayette and not under Nash since the 1934 to 1936 La Fayettes were considered a separate make though only available through Nash dealers.In 1937 they were again referred to as Nash La Fayette.We already have a similar car but a trunk sedan filed separately from Nash. |

You are absolutely right, La Fayette was it´s own brand at this point. But I think they sold under the Nash brand in Sweden, this car is registered as a Nash La Fayette 3610: Regnr: CRC756 Färg: MBLÅ Fabrikat: NASH LA FAYETTE 3610 Årsmodell: 1936 I´ve seen this car alot during my childhood, so I didn´t reflect over that it was something else than a Nash now that I added it. I´ll see if I can find some info about the swedish sales. Until that it can be filed as a La Fayette brand. |
