We know for sure that there were at least 2 different Expeditions used, and I think that at least two different ones should get their own page. Neptune 2008-01-15 18:11	They are – the Eddie Bauer’s signature color is "Pueblo Gold Clearcoat" – and this is used on the vehicles lower body panels and trim. However the Expeditions used in this film were altered for filming. Their Pueblo Gold Clearcoat trim was painted Black to match the Black color of the vehicle. Painting over the Eddie Bauer’s Pueblo Gold Clearcoat trim is not new to film companies We have two such examples here on IMCDb: Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) vehicle_113624-Ford-Expedition-U222-2003.html Live Free or Die Hard (2007) vehicle_118798-Ford-Expedition-U222-2006.html

Neptune 2008-01-15 19:18	Yes, on Eddie Bauer models, the Eddie Bauer Edition Pueblo Gold Clearcoat color is used only on the lower half of the vehicle (door panels / upper fender trim / running boards / lower half of front and rear bumpers) Above photo has Eddie Bauer Pueblo Gold Clearcoat trim highlighted in yellow. And now that I think about it, why wouldn't it be the same Expedition in both the present and in flashbacks? I notice the present-day Expedition has some add-ons that this one lacks (the grille guard or whatever you call it), but who's to say Neville didn't put those on in the interim? Kooshmeister 2008-04-05 07:00	Eh, nix that idea. We never get a good look at the license plate of either the flashback Expedition or the present-day one, although I still like to think they're the same car story-wise.
Neptune 2008-04-05 16:23	They are the same type of vehicle, but are not the same vehicle used by Neville during the present day scenes. Why? Because their trim levels change. During the second flashback, the two SUVs stop at the evac entrance zone, the back is shown of the first SUV with the rear badge reading Eddie Bauer. The present day SUV is not a Eddie Bauer, instead it’s a Limited Edition. The Limited is distinguished by the chrome accented roof-rails, body color grille and blacked-out headlamps (which the Expedition EL used in the flashbacks did not have) Photos taken on the set of I Am Legend also reveal it’s a Limited Edition. Also note Eddie Bauers were used for some interior shots (explaining why interior wood accent trim changes from light to dark wood and why the leather seats are two-tone)
