just curious.. when they say Tax Due , lets say 1984 like here , if the car was stored, under restoration or whatever, to bring it back on the road do you have to pay the taxes all the way back to 1984 ? |

No. It just means when the last tax ran out, so usually when it was scrapped (or other fates eg exported). New system this century that if you take a car off the road to store, you have to declare SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) so no tax due. Then to bring back onto road use you have to revoke the SORN, and can then restart tax. |
