I think 57-62.

Why 1957-62 dsl?

I hesitate because I could be wrong but the more I look at it I think it's later, but being a Morris Minor that must have been restored to some extent in 30-40 years, some 'improvments' are possible.

I'm hingeing my date on the parallel wipers not 'clap-hands' by the tip of the wiper blade pointing towards the licence disc, not certain but I think it's there, so could be after October 1963? A significant body feature for the location of the pivots in the scuttle area.

Also new (flat-topped not domed) combined side/flasher lights front, these could have been changed of course. However the bonnet side has also lost the Minor 1000 badge and another problem if the colour is porcelain green It would be 1960/1961. So not at all clear to me other than, perhaps, the wipers.

I'm not sure about front lights whether before/after 62 or before-but-modified. My 2 arguments are that I don't think rear lights in thumb are 62+, and the wheel colour paint of off-white, but not 62+ cream and not 68+ grey. Not sure about the colour, but it may be Highway Yellow which appeared on a recent Vanguards VA05808 with 291 PAE plate = Bristol, April-May 62, but no trace. However it may have linked to a real Highway Yellow 4 door 852 PAE. Highway Yellow was rare - apparently 61-62 only

I hadn't considered highway yellow however it ran alongside the porcelain green in 1960/1961.

Looking again at what I thought could be the passenger side wiper I'm surprised I didn't see it before. The wipers are mid-sweep almost half way up the windscreen and definity parallel and not clap hands with the wiper pivots offset to the left. I still consider it would be a October 1963-plus body.

Side lights and rear lights, to me look like the later larger combined types, but never-the-less they would be an obvious upgrade for an earlier car.

Missing 'Minor 1000' and (blue or leaf green) coachlines probably mean it has had a respray and wheel colour looks more like a grey than old english white to me.

Tried to find a good example of this off-white-but-not-cream wheel colour and eventually found one (although an Aus build). Have also tried to pursue whether metal trim around quarterlights instead of painted body colour is dateable but failed. Can't say anything more, so won't argue if this goes to 63+.

I have also tried in the past looking at the finish on the quarterlights (and glass frame) and nothing conclusive as o.e. other than replacement parts are, from one supplier, stainless steel which intentionally gives the option of bright finish or paint. I don't know if that reflects a change in the factory finish.
