Studebaker pickup? The cab shape, split windshield, extended A pillar, and small rear glass suggest it but I'm open to ideas. |

I think it is a 49-53 2R with the split windshield. |

Or it could be a '41+ M-5 ... ? |

I think the cut shape where the fender was removed make it a later 2R. -- Last edit: 2007-12-30 04:23:07 |

Good spotting! I think the extended A-pillar skin dates it to 1953, last year of the 2R Series. Now you only have to establish the wheelbase and engine size to get the full name! http://www.studegarage.com/refdata/2R_2E_sernum.htm |

Two others are listed as just "2R", so should "Series" be included or not? |

If the second number, i.e. wheelbase-engine-combination, is not known, I would add 'Series'. This seems to be the generally accepted way of doing it. |
