Looks like one of the dozens of MG TD replicas that existed, most built on VW chassis; Fiberfab MiGi may be the most common. The rear-facing scoop on the side of the hood is very unusual. |

Observation: From that angle the steering column is LHD, while the wheel appears to be RHD. That's not an optical illusion, but it looks like one. OK, enough subtle humour for now. I spent way too much time checking these Dukes now and the results are: I think it is one and I'm not hungry any more. Classic Roadsters Ltd., Inc. of Fargo, North Dakota, offered the Duke from 1982 as either "factory complete" or "unassembled" (= kit car, assembly manual at $ 15,-) and it was modeled after a 1939 Jaguar SS 100 - well, at least they tried. Do I even have to mention that they also opened a shop in Miami, Florida in 1992?? Anyway, that one above was probably marketed by their ̶c̶̶a̶̶n̶̶a̶̶d̶̶e̶̶s̶̶e̶ Canadian outlet at Trail, British Columbia. The usual side-mounted spare tire isn't side-mounted (because that was optional) and the colour was offered as "Burgundy Royale" (if this unit was delivered factory-painted, that is). |
